Your Help Is Already Here!

WHAT DID GOD SAY TO ME THIS MORNING

Have you ever felt like you needed a whole army to help you with just your day-to-day tasks? When you look back over the day, you wonder HOW IN THE WORLD did I get all that done? Yup, you may be worn out, but you got it done! I need for you to know that it wasn’t all you. Your strength isn’t strong enough to accomplish all that God gives you to do each day, so right at that moment where you felt like you wanted to give up and just throw in the towel, you said, “ooohhh LORD, help me.” Or you may have said it like someone’s grandma, “Lord, have mercy!” There is life and death in the tongue, so even when you were in that mode where you were breathing air out in frustration, your heart and your mouth was calling on the Lord, the one who not only cares about your overall well-being and salvation, but our Lord and Savior even cares about that basket of laundry that you really didn’t want to fold, but knew you had to fold in order to keep things in your house decent and in order (you know, that’s biblical right?)

This morning as I was reading Isaiah 41 for the scriptural surprise, I noticed that God was letting Israel know YOUR HELP IS HERE WITH ME RIGHT NOW! First of all, go and read this chapter because I love when God talks like this. It’s kinda gangsta-like, especially in verses 5-7, and 21-24!!! If I can use some urban vernacular, God was like, Nah nah nah, but can your idols plant trees on barren land though? Can your little idols tell the past or the future though? Can your little idols that you have carved together with ya little tools, perform any mighty miracles though? Essentially I could see God saying…I’ll wait, while you try to do something. And then the enemy looking at each other all stupid, like is anybody gonna say something. And right when they think they wanna try to fix their mouth to say something, God cuts them smooth off in verse 24…BUT NO! YOU ARE LESS THAN NOTHING AND CAN DO NOTHING AT ALL..! Come on y’all, we serve a GOD that can straight up, clap back and his clap back is THUNDEROUS!!! When I read that this morning, I was like…yea yea yea enemy, I ain’t sked of you!!

In verse 10, God says, “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. I will help you. I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.”

Verse 13-14 hits you with it again… for the people in the back that missed it in verse 10, “I am holding you by your right hand - I, the Lord your God. And I say to you, ‘Do not be afraid. I am here to help you. Despised though you are, O Israel, don’t be afraid, for I will help you. I am the Lord, your Redeemer. I am the Holy One of Israel.”

If these verses don’t power you up with strength, read them AGAIN and AGAIN until you feel HELPED! My help comes from the Lord. I remember an old song called My Help and I went on Youtube to find it, and this song My Help! came up, but I had to call my Momma to get the other lyrics to find THIS VERSION!! It’s still not quite the one I was singing at my church as a child, but it’s very similar. And for my people who like the more upbeat versions of song, this one is for you! Let all three songs minister to you this morning!!!!

THE LORD IS YOUR HELP TODAY!!! Just let go and let HIM help you! ALL OF YOUR HELP…COMES FROM THE LORD!!! COME ON Y’ALL!!!
