Practice Preparation
Practice Preparation
“In the morning, O Lord, You will hear my voice; In the morning I will PREPARE a prayer and a sacrifice for You and watch and wait for you to speak to my heart.” Psalms 5:3 AMP
WHAT DID GOD SAY TODAY?
Last night I went to bed at a very decent time and oh what a difference preparation makes. Yesterday The Holy Spirit said, be prepared for prayer. So I made it my business to get in the bed last night. I am reading about 3 books right now, and I bought a new 30 day plan which includes a book, and I am super excited to jump into that. I am taking one spiritual online course to improve my money and nutrition, and I am also taking a business course (taught by a Christian woman) on improving my tee business; so I am reading and seeding the vision God has given me, but He said go to bed at night. Plus, to be totally honest, I was on Instagram the other night, so I know He was right. Stop scrolling and go to bed Fon. LOL!
This morning I got up refreshed and ready for my 50 minutes + more prayer time. I started out noticeably strong in my prayers and I felt I had the approval of God because I had prepared for this time. When God says go to bed early, do it. The obedience will manifest into tomorrow’s blessings.
So without further delay, here’s what God had to say to me today:
Go forward. Go left. Go right. Be Still. When I give directions to you, it will be one of those. Never go backwards.
Be quick to obey. In Acts, chapter 12, verses 6 through 11, Peter had a miraculous escape from prison. In verse 7 when the angel tapped Peter to awaken him, he said “QUICK! Get Up! And the chains fell off of Peter’s wrists. Then the angel told Peter to get dressed and put on your sandals. And he did. Then the angel said now put on your coat and follow me. So Peter left the cell. Peter thought he was dreaming but he realized it was real. He had miraculously escaped the well-guarded prison. This tells me that if I want to experience my own personal miracle, I need to be quick to obey when God tells me to do something.
Practice Preparation. Get things in order so you can easily be prepared for my instruction on what to do next.
Now on the last one, when Holy Spirit said get things in order, I asked this question: What do I prepare for? And this was the response I heard back.
“Look at everything you have to you to do, and see where you are not prepared. When I pour you out a blessing, I need you prepared to receive it. Write down all the assignments I have given you, and look to see where you need to do more preparation. Ask yourself: If God sent me 100 t-shirt orders right now, could I handle it? (My reply: Nope, not even ready). If people wanted to know how they could take the 1-Hour Prayer Challenge, are you prepared to tell them? (My reply: Sorta…Kinda, but nah, not really). If a publisher wanted to print your book, are you prepared to hand it over? (My reply: Not really. I mean I have written it, but it still needs…ahhh, okay Holy Spirit. Your point is WELL MADE). Have you done everything you need to do to receive the blessings I have for you, Fon? I know you haven’t, so prepare now! I want you to plan out the preparation you must do."
Whew!! When I say Holy Spirit flowed that right through me this morning y’all…HE DID THAT! He told me to prepare for this prayer where the majority of it would be about preparation. Now that’s pretty dope how that all went down right? Yeah, I’m always in awe!
Finally, after that preparation sermonette, I heard: help your family first. Here, I truly believe Holy Spirit was saying, before you run out there and help a whole tribe of other folks with praying, help your family first.
That’s it for today. Be encouraged! Keeping coming back daily
Signed,
Psalm 19:14
P.S. Go read that. You’ll appreciate the task of reading your Bible more :-)
