Do You Believe Me Or Nah?

Do You Believe Me Or Nah?

WHAT DID GOD SAY TO ME THIS MORNING

Ever seen the hand of God move in your life? It is the most amazing thing to SEE God orchestrate you into position. Yesterday, if you read the blog, you know God told me to take my Bible into the Prayer Closet with me from now on. Well today, I saw why! My whole prayer routine changed today. And the crazy part is, I was even more sleepy than I had ever been because I woke up around 2:45 a.m. and couldn’t go back to sleep. I finally dozed off, and then next thing I knew, my alarm was going off for 5 a.m. prayer time.

I was actually kinda annoyed at myself for not being able to go back to sleep, to be honest. I wanted to be fully prepared to be used by God and I just KNEW I would be battling that sleepiness feeling. But guess what? I didn’t! I took my Bible and went into the closet. Out of no where, I got so emotional in that closet. I cried and cried and cried. I didn’t even know why I was crying, but it felt like I was crying to release. I still honestly don’t know why I was crying, but I did hear the Holy Spirit say, just let go Fon. So I did.

After crying, I prayed. Then I asked the Holy Spirit what He wanted to show me in the Word of God. I kept flipping, like i was looking at a magazine. I knew He would tell me where to stop. I read. I flipped. I read. I flipped some more. I saw the story about Lazarus as I was flipping, but I ended up reading something else. I heard Him say pray again, then I heard: Friday, he will wake up. I said Holy Spirit, is that you saying that? I wanted to be sure. Then He said, Go read the story about Lazarus.

Now, to be very honest, I couldn’t remember what book of the Bible it was in, so my first thought was to come out of the prayer closet and grab my phone. But then I said, nope, just keep flipping. I landed in John 11. I read the entire story about Lazarus, and here are the scriptures the Holy Spirit brought to my attention in the Word, along with what He said to me:

  • John 11:4 - Jesus already knows the outcome

  • John 11: 5-6 - I love you so much, but the waiting period is for My Glory. That’s why I haven’t responded as immediately as you have wanted me to. I, the Son of God, will receive Glory from this whole situation.

  • John 11: 15 - Everything that I allow to happen is another opportunity for you to believe in me.

  • John 11:23 - Your brother will rise again.

  • John 11:33 - I see your tears and it troubles me.

  • John 11:35 - Jesus wept.

  • John 11:39 - Jesus gave instructions to roll the stone aside. Martha showed a little bit of unbelief in her response to Jesus’ instruction, because of the length of time that had passed. Holy Spirit said to me that it doesn’t matter what it looks like or how much time has passed, just follow the instructions that I give you.

  • John 11:40 - Jesus reminds Martha. “Didn’t I tell you that you will see God’s glory if you believe?

  • John 11:41 - Jesus spoke out loud to Father God for the sake of the people standing there, so they would believe.

  • John 11:43 - Jesus shouted, “Lazarus, come out!”

  • John 11:44 - Lazarus came out and Jesus gave instruction to unwrap him and let him go!

In reading the Word of God this morning, I learned four things:

  1. God already knows the outcome, so don’t worry about what it looks like.

  2. He hears my prayer, sees my tears, but loves me enough to make me wait so that He can ensure that I truly believe in Him AND for God to get the glory in the situation.

  3. Follow His specific instructions with full belief of what He told me.

  4. Listen and watch the miracle take place right before my eyes!

I pray you have an amazing Tuesday! Be encouraged in your waiting!
