But Does It Line Up With God’s Word?
In ALL things, give God glory!
This was the thought that came to mind this morning as I was listening for the Lord to speak after prayer.
I discerned the Lord saying: When you give ME glory in places and things I’m not in, I will reveal that I’m not in it. Reading My Word helps you to know where I AM and where I AM not. I AM not in anything that goes against my Word.
As I looked for scriptures, I found the following:
“So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God.— 1 Corinthians 10:31 CSB
“And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” — Colossians 3:17 CSB
“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness, who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.” — Isaiah 5:20 CSB
It is bad for those who call what is sinful good, and good sinful, who say dark is light and light is dark, who make bitter sweet, and sweet bitter! It is bad for those who are wise in their own eyes, and who think they know a lot! — Isaiah 5:20-21 NLV
“All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness,” — 2 Timothy 3:16 CSB
I found an article online by Rev. Billy Graham and he said, “through the reading of scripture God makes clear the pathways that we should travel so that we can honor Him.
I started thinking about all the things we do. Are they really honoring God? Or have we honored tradition or religion more than God?
As I meditated on what I discerned the Lord saying, I realized that we need to pay attention to what the Lord reveals to us. We don’t need to be hard-hearted when He reveals He ain’t in something that we have traditionally honored Him in.
I recently learned that Christmas really ain’t about Jesus. And this is something I’ve always celebrated traditionally and never questioned it. I now see that the Lord is revealing this to me and my role is to acknowledge it and continue to read my Bible so I can know where He is and where He ain’t (is not).

Bottom line… we can’t get weary in prayer time and having daily conversations with God. He is speaking to us and wanting to reveal things to us so we can know Him and make Him known.

SALVATION PRAYER
If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
