MY CONVERSATIONS WITH GOD
Welcome to the OABG Daily Blog and Podcast!
This morning as I was lying in bed, my praise and worship crooning from my Amazon echo dot had done it’s part of sending the right kind of music through my ear gates. I listened to a few songs and found myself drifting back to sleep. But what woke me up again was a dream. I was dreaming that someone had messed with what seemed like my daughter, and I was about to DO SOMETHING to do them. I was asking the girl, what happened? What did he do? And she was nervous to tell me. And I began grabbing the man by his hair and holding it very tightly. I said to the girl through my teeth, what-did-he-do? And she said something and it wasn’t quite audible, but I knew it wasn’t appropriate. And I clinched the man by the hair even tighter and called on my Daddy! Then I woke up.
I immediately started praying when I woke up. I prayed for my daughter, but realized that I needed to pray for GIRLS period, not just my daughter. I also prayed for my son and young boys as well. I was binding the enemy and praying for those who mistreat young people to be exposed in the name of Jesus and that the captives (our young people who may be held captive by known or unknown) be set free in the name of Jesus.
As I was laying there but praying there, I realized how important and necessary it is for us to be on our prayer post. The enemy wants to catch up sleeping or slipping, but I say, not on our watch! Amen! I also had the revelation that I wasn’t calling my earthly Dad either. In the dream I thought that’s who I was calling on to come and help me, but I was calling Abba! My heavenly Father. DADDY!!! Because while I DID have the man by the hair and every fiber of gangsta in me was about to go in on dude, I know from reading my Word that vengeance belongs to the Lord!
I wanted to just share that with you because prayer is not just about what you want God to do in your life. We are all here on this earth for a purpose. We are here to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Our prayers, our praise, our purpose is all necessary. And the good news is that while we know how the story ends, we still must do our part until then. So when the Lord wakes you up or lays it upon your heart to pray or you dream a dream like I did, open your mouth and intercede through prayer. I don’t know who the young lady was, but I know I was On Assignment By God this morning in prayer interceding on her behalf!
Now what did the Lord say to me this morning after I got on up? Well let me put it into context. I was praying for the Lord to show me how to do this new project idea and he replied with this during our conversation this morning:
Don’t think perfect, think purpose.
You have already started. Keep going.
Write the vision and make it plain.
When you start, I will finish.
When I broke it down, the Lord was saying to me, keep going on what I have already started and write down the new thing to start and once I start, He will finish it. He will put his super on my natural. But I must start and I must keep going!
Now how can I be wise about the new thing God has me working on? You already know! Reading Proverbs 8 for the Scriptural Bible Study, that’s how.
Okay, if you read chapter 8 already then you know that it’s talking about Lady Wisdom. I love that Wisdom is referred to as a female. LOL! What I learned from reading this chapter is that wisdom will always speak the truth and never tell a lie. Wisdom is worth more than anything we can desire. Every honest leader rules with help from wisdom. Wisdom can make you rich and famous, important and successful. Wisdom always does what is right. Common sense is wisdom’s closest friend. God accomplished His glorious work of creation with wisdom, so we should do the same and create and do our work with wisdom.
The Hope Words from my Tony Evans Study Bible says: Wisdom is the willingness and ability to apply spiritual truths to life’s realities. Lady Wisdom says this in Proverbs 8:17: I love those who love me, and those who search for me, find me.
A question that popped into my spirit this morning as I read that is, what makes us satisfied with our seeking for God and our search for wisdom? What I mean by that is what makes you feel like…okay, I think I got it now? Or okay, I am done seeking or searching? What results make you stop seeking the Kingdom of God and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33) and what makes you stop seeking wisdom? Let that be an assignment question for you today. The answer may be that you have found it, but what I would like for you to consider is that, we should actually be seeking God’s Kingdom and wisdom daily, the same way we seek bread daily!

SALVATION PRAYER
If you’re not a believer and have a desire to be, openly confess and declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer out loud, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community and start having a conversation through prayer with God every day. And let me be the first to welcome you to your new life with Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. YAAAAY!!!!! You made the best decision you could ever make! Feel free to email me at info@onassignmentbyGod.com and let me know about your newfound life or if you need prayer for anything.
