Keep God's Word On Your Mind Daily!
MY CONVERSATIONS WITH GOD
Welcome to the OABG Daily Blog and Podcast!
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. Romans 8:28
This morning the Holy Spirit told me to do the work that He has assigned me so that I can reach the purpose He put in me. He said everything you are doing matters. All of the things you are doing, are working together for your good and for my purpose.
If we didn’t need to discuss the Scriptural Bible Study of Proverbs chapter 7, I could simply end the blog/podcast right there. But we are growing in our wisdom and the Lord just said ALL of the things I am doing matters. This study of Proverbs…MATTERS. This blog and podcast…MATTERS. Everything He has assigned us to do MATTERS! So let us be encouraged to keep doing it.
Now let’s jump into Proverbs 7 so that we can be wise in our daily lives (hashtag bars). Yall know I may have been a rapper and still may be, because I’m still on the journey to discovering who God made me! Ohhhhhhh! These bars are coming left and right, but the blog/podcast must be published, so I ain’t got all night.
Okay, so in Proverbs 7, I learned this:
Keep God’s Word at my fingertips (that means keep thumbing through the Bible and reading His word daily).
Write God’s Word in my mind. This means to not just read the word but remember it so that I can apply it in every area of my life.
And Deuteronomy 6:4-9 shows me how I do it daily. It says: “Listen, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. 5 And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. 6 And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. 7 Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. 8 Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. 9 Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.
As parents we are to teach God’s ways regularly to our children in the everyday events of life. That means we are to incorporate God ‘s word into our daily routine.
The family bears the primary responsibility for passing along the torch of faith and the church supports parents in that work.
Don’t get seduced or it could cost you your life! You’ve been warned!
Now if you read Proverbs 7:6-27, you read the story of seduction! And truth be told, we see this going on a lot now even through music videos and media. I won’t repeat it here, go read it or better yet listen to it on the message translation audio. Bottom line, don’t get caught up in the game of seduction ladies or gentleman. It’s a dead end trap of the enemy meant to destroy you and the purpose God put in you. Instead, keep your eyes on God. Obey His Words. Make God’s Word an inseperable part of your everyday life. That means put God IN EVERY THANG and then you won’t have to wonder about NO THANG!

SALVATION PRAYER
If you’re not a believer and have a desire to be, openly confess and declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer out loud, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community and start having a conversation through prayer with God every day. And let me be the first to welcome you to your new life with Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. YAAAAY!!!!! You made the best decision you could ever make! Feel free to email me at info@onassignmentbyGod.com and let me know about your newfound life or if you need prayer for anything.
