Dear Jesus
MY CONVERSATIONS WITH GOD
Welcome to the OABG Daily Blog and Podcast!
Dear Jesus,
Thank you for your unfailing, persistent love. Thank you for buying me with your own blood Jesus. Thank you for giving yourself to me, to redeem me from all lawlessness. Thank you for cleansing me. I am your possession Lord. I am eager to do good works for you.
Love, Fon
Have you ever considered writing a letter to Jesus? Yesterday my kids and I were taking communion and I found myself making sure they understood what we were doing, why we were doing it, and in doing all that, I realized how appreciative I was for ALL that Jesus has done for me. As I had my kids closing their eyes and imagining Jesus hanging on a cross, with blood streaming down his body, which had been beaten and bruised, I wanted them to visualize what He did for us and for our mistakes and shortcomings. I told my kids when you have that visual in your mind and remember it not just during communion but every day, it makes you not want to disappoint our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. What about you? Doesn’t it stir something up within you that makes you want to honor Him even more with your day-to-day life?
See I never really visualized Jesus when I was deep in sin. I’d like to think that had I just paused and thought about what He did for me on the cross, it may have stopped me in my tracks and caused me to run the opposite way, as the Bible says to do.
Run from sexual sin! No other sin so clearly affects the body as this one does. For sexual immorality is a sin against your own body. 1 Corinthians 6:18 NLT
Today, as we take a look at our Scriptural Bible Study in the 14th chapter of Proverbs, we continue on our journey to living more wise lives. And running from sexual sin is W-I-S-E for sure!
So what stood out to me as I studied Proverbs 14:
Every wise woman builds HER HOUSE. When I read this in the CEV Translation it says: A woman’s family is held together by her wisdom, but it can be destroyed by her foolishness. As women, we are to be wise in our homes by encouraging and building up our family. Our homes should be build on a foundation of godly precepts.
Whoever lives with integrity fears the Lord, but a devious person despises the Lord.
Use your resources wisely by investing your money in places where you can expect an abundant harvest.
The house of the wicked will be destroyed but the tent of the upright will flourish.
Human wisdom seems right but it should always be compared to the divine perspective. Don’t rely solely on human logic to chart the course of your life, because it can lead you on a path to hell. Seek God’s Way.
A sensible person watches their steps.
There is profit in all hard work, but endless talk leads to poverty.
In the fear of the Lord, one has strong confidence and his children have refuge.
A patient person shows great understanding.
We honor God when we are kind to the needy.
If we were to surmise this 14th chapter of Proverbs, it would be to seek God in all you do; build your family on godly precepts (this means godly principles and rules); don’t do life your way, but do life God’s way; watch your steps; work hard and stop talking so much about what you gonna do; fear the Lord; be patient; and honor God with your kindness!
Dear Jesus,
It’s me again. I will honor you today by applying this wisdom that I just learned to my life, starting right now. I will take your Way. Thank you for your Word, Father God. I love you. In your name Jesus, I pray this prayer. Amen.

If you’re not a believer and have a desire to be, openly confess and declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer out loud, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community and start having a conversation through prayer with God every day. And let me be the first to welcome you to your new life with Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. YAAAAY!!!!! You made the best decision you could ever make!
