God Chose Me!

MY CONVERSATIONS WITH GOD

Welcome to the OABG Daily Blog and Podcast!

Did you know that you and I were chosen by God before the foundation of the world? I mean let that sink in for a minute because I got to shouting when I read that this morning in the prayer closet. It hit me in such a way that brought major tears to my eyes. I was already in an emotional place of thanksgiving because today is my daughter’s 12th birthday! I was thanking God for her being my first-born! For God trusting me with her. Oh my eyes are major puffy right now! And when I read that, I let my daughter know that SHE WAS CHOSEN even before me and her Daddy ever was born! It blew her mind too to think that. GOD CHOSE HER before the foundations of the world. GOD CHOSE YOU before the foundations of the world. GOD CHOSE ME before the foundations of the world! And He didn’t just choose us, he created us, then he said we are to be holy and blameless so that we will bring him pleasure. If that doesn’t make you shout!!!

This morning, I was all in my feels. I am talking about ALL-UP-IN-THERE! I started thinking and thanking. I was like Lord, you blessed me with a beautiful, funny, creative, kind-hearted, sweet, fashionable, artistic, did I say fashionable (lol) daughter who loves you already! Like my daughter is way more advanced than I was at her age spiritually and I am thankful that God got me together and on Straight Street so that I can drive her down it real slowly! You feel me? LOL!

Today as we continue our study in the book of Proverbs, chapter 15, we steady getting more and more wisdom. Be sure to share your study and insights with your family and friends. Once you get it, share it. That’s how we spread the love of Jesus around.

Now I don’t know how your Bible looks, but it’s like I highlight almost every verse! LOL! I said this entire book of Proverbs if gonna be highlighted in a minute. LOL! But what really stood out today were the following:

  • The tongue of the wise makes knowledge attractive! As I wrote this, I heard the Holy Spirit say, wisdom makes you even more attractive Fon. I was like, word Lord!!! So that lets me know right there, that it ain’t my outfit or my makeup!

  • The eyes of the Lord are everywhere! I think we forget this sometimes when we think we be sneaking. I remember being a sneaky kid, tween, teen, and adult. Thank God for deliverance from that. I didn’t know that the stuff I was doing in the dark, the Lord still saw it. Well I know He is omnipresent, but it wasn’t on my mind because if I really focused on the fact that His eyes were watching me, I would like to think that I would have not done some things in the dark, which is exactly where Satan operates…in the dark.

  • The house of the righteous has great wealth, but trouble accompanies the income of the wicked. Now let’s break that down because some people think God must be mad at you if you’re poor. Not true. We see here that a righteous house has great wealth. But trouble ACCOMPANIES the income of the wicked. So that means the house of the wicked is filled with trouble, no matter how much money they have!

  • The sacrifice of the wicked is detestable to the Lord, but the prayer of the upright is His delight! Prayers of honest people please him.

  • The Lord hates how sinners live. But He loves those who run after what is right.

  • A joyful heart makes a face cheerful, but a sad heart produces a broken spirit.

  • All the days of the oppressed are miserable , but a cheerful heart has a continual feast.

  • It is better to have respect for the Lord and have little, than to be rich and have trouble.

  • A few vegetables where there is love are better than the finest meat where there is hatred.

  • If you are lazy, you will meet difficulty everywhere, but if you are honest, you will have no trouble.

  • A person who has no sense enjoys doing foolish things. But a person who has understanding walks straight ahead.

  • Without consultation and wise advice, plans are frustrated, But with many counselors they are established and succeed! Did you know that I provide consultations? Check me out! I may need to be one of your many counselors!

  • Everyone enjoys giving great advice. But how delightful it is to say the right thing at the right time!

  • The mind of the righteous person thinks before answering, but the mouth of the wicked blurts out evil things.

  • The Lord is far from those who do wrong. But He hears the prayers of those who do right. I translated that to: The Lord ain’t with you when you wicked, but He hears your prayers loud and clear when you righteous!

  • Anyone who ignores discipline despises himself, but whoever listens to correction acquires good sense.

  • The reverent fear of the Lord [that is worshiping Him and regarding Him as truly awesome] is the instruction for wisdom [ its starting point and its essence]; and before honor comes humility.

So as we wrap up, we have learned that our starting point for wisdom is to have a reverent fear of the Lord. Your fear of the Lord is quite attractive! And God chose YOU! Now you should be extremely encouraged this morning to go out and be all that God created you to be. I mean He did think of you and chose YOU BEFORE the foundations of the world!!! Maaaaan! That part right there!!

SALVATION PRAYER

If you’re not a believer and have a desire to be, openly confess and declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer out loud, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community and start having a conversation through prayer with God every day. And let me be the first to welcome you to your new life with Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. YAAAAY!!!!! You made the best decision you could ever make! Feel free to email me at info@onassignmentbyGod.com and let me know about your newfound life or if you need prayer for anything.
