WHAT DID MY LORD GOD SAY TO ME THIS MORNING?
My Daily Conversations With God
BLOG & PODCAST SHIFT ANNOUNCEMENT!!!
The release time for the blog is shifting. As the Holy Spirit shifts me in my prayer, I shift. The blog and podcast will now be coming out between 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. central standard time. Thank you for adjusting and thank you for your continued support.
I am in a season of learning. The more I learn, the more things change in my life. There is something to be said about learning things you didn’t know and making the necessary adjustments immediately. We do this all the time in the workplace. But when it comes to our lives, we often tend to hesitate on making the adjustments? It’s quite interesting too, because at the workplace, you know if you don’t make the necessary adjustments, your performance/job could very well be on the line, but what about your eternal life? Is a job more important than your eternity?
I attended a conference recently and God used a woman by the name of Bev Tucker to open my eyes to a bunch of things, including how we give the enemy legal access into lives. Minister Bev Tucker has a book called, Setting the Captives Free Deliverance Manual. Now I am going to go ahead and say that I am just now coming into the knowledge of a lot that I have learned, but the Holy Spirit said to me this morning: As you come into the knowledge, be quick to repent and obey my commandments.
“But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.” 1 john 1:9
The Holy Spirit said to me, don’t just learn better, do better. Do what My Words says to do.
When you look at the word repent, it means to turn away. I remember doing a lot of repenting back in college. I would commit the sin and then ask for forgiveness, but the part that I didn’t do was TURN AWAY FROM IT. I was pretty much taking what Jesus did on the cross for me for granted, AND I was doing it in tears. I was sincerely wanting to be forgiven, but then I would be right back doing the same thing.
I read this today and it really explains what I was missing. Genuine repentance will lead to a different relationship and attitude towards sin. False repentance never leads to a turning away from sin. So that means I was doing more false repenting than anything, even with tears and snot.
Biblical repentance is a change of mind and heart about sin. It’s a change of mind about WHO Jesus Christ is and what He has done for you and me, and it leads to a turning away from sin.
This morning as I was going through Bev Tucker’s Deliverance Manual, I came into the knowledge of a lot of entry points and doorways that evil spirits have used to get into my life. I started today breaking the legal rights of those evil spirits through specific prayers I was praying this morning.
And I’m just getting started y’all. But one thing I want to encourage you all on today is to not settle for what you think you know. Get knowledge, wisdom, and understanding from the Lord and Him alone.
Hosea 4:6 says: My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.
Proverbs 2:6 says: For the Lord gives wisdom, from his mouth comes knowledge and understanding.
