WHAT DID GOD SAY TO ME THIS MORNING

Every time I prepare to travel, I feel this level of anxiety and nervousness. It doesn’t matter if I am traveling for business or personal, I always get this feeling. You know the feeling. You’re trying to make sure you have thought of everything to pack. You’re trying to think ahead so you can be fully prepared. It can be nerve-wrecking, right? I used to say, “I can’t stand packing,” and then I noticed something, my travels decreased. You know what we speak out of mouth becomes our reality, right? So now, instead of saying, “I can’t stand packing,” I work harder to try and relax into packing. Why? Because I want to travel even more. It’s one of the things on my dreams and goals list…to travel often! And I can’t be speaking against packing if I want to travel more!! That’s a word!!!

This morning I am traveling to Atlanta for a book signing event and I got up earlier to pray so that I can still be obedient to God to share our conversations. I felt the sense of anxiousness for all that I am responsible for come up, as I kneeled to pray. I prayed anyway. I took some deep breaths to relax and I heard the Holy Spirit say, open your Bible. Right before I opened it, I said, “Lord, please give me a word this morning and let this word come alive to me.” I flipped right to Matthew 28:19-20!!!

“Therefore GO and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20 New Living Translation

If you have learned nothing else from me on this blog, you should have picked up on this pattern that when I ask God to give me a Word from Him, HE DOES EXACTLY THAT!! The scriptural surprise has been proof for me that God hears my prayers and answers me specifically!

As I read that scripture, I heard the Holy Spirit confirm it by saying this to me:

I am with you always.
Every time you get anxious or nervous, just remember that I am with you always.
No matter where you GO, I am with you Fon. Just call my name!

I felt so comforted with this Word from God. I felt so good, that I kept on reading into the book of Mark and got even more into the conversation with the Holy Spirit. It was Mark 1:38 that stood out most. It says, “But he replied, “We must GO on to other town as well, and I will preach to them, too, because that is why I came.”

This was Jesus talking to His disciples. He said we must GO on to other towns. Now remember the verse that God gave me first was Matthew 28:19 which says, “Therefore GO and make disciples of all the nations…”

Here I am about to GO to Atlanta for a book signing for my new book, Permission Slips, a book that was Holy Spirit written in three days; to represent my publishing company Encouragement Ink International, LLC, whose mission is to encourage the nations through Christ-centered print, mentorship, and apparel! It hit me, I am going to Atlanta (another town) to share (minister)! That is why God is sending me there and guess what, He wants me to know HE IS WITH ME!

When people ask why I going Atlanta, that’s exactly why I am going: To share my book, which is part of the mission and assignment God has me on.

I want to ask you…why are you where you are? What did you come here or go there to do? Are you doing what God sent you to do? Are you GOing where God is sending you?

This morning, be encouraged that when God sends you, He is with you always. There is no need to feel anxious or nervous because He is with you. His command is for us to GO.

Are you GOing where He sent you?

SALVATION PRAYER

If you’re not a believer and have a desire to be, openly confess and declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer out loud, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community and start having a conversation through prayer with God every day.
