The Mission Is Bigger Than The Mistake

The Mission Is Bigger Than The Mistake!

WHAT DID GOD SAY TO ME THIS MORNING

This morning I jumped up and got to the prayer closet quick! I wanted to get there fast because I wanted to hear from the Holy Spirit about something I did that I know God wasn’t quite pleased with.

This is what the Holy Spirit said to me this morning in the prayer closet:

  • Ain’t no mistake bigger than the mission!

  • Pray in the moment of your mistake and turn from it immediately.

  • I showed you who they are so it would no longer distract you from the mission.

  • I allowed the mistake for you to see how much more you need Me. You are gaining strength but your flesh can make you weak, yet I AM STRONGER than anything you will face.

  • Learn the lesson and share the message!

  • I forgive your mistakes.

I am taking a big sigh as I write this blog this morning. Even when you are praying consistently, there will always be things that come to distract you from the mission. This morning, the Holy Spirit wanted me to see that even though I talk to Him daily, I still need Him to strengthen me daily. I will never arrive where I don’t need Him. And most importantly, my God is bigger than my mistakes.

I want to encourage you this morning to ask God for forgiveness for whatever you have done with a pure heart and then turn away from that mistake knowing that it is forgiven. Don’t wallow in your mistakes. That’s the growth I see in myself today. Before when I made mistakes, I would ask for forgiveness during my whole prayer, but not anymore. I ask for forgiveness, and stand on the Word of God in 1 john 1:9 that says: if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.

Whatever you have done or wherever you feel you have fallen short, confess it to God, receive the forgiveness, know that it has been cast into the sea of forgetfulness, and then move on and focus on the mission He has called you to do. The enemy wants you to keep thinking about it so you can be distracted with it, but even God can use what the enemy meant for evil for our good!

Today’s scriptural surprise is Ezekiel, chapters 1-3. The standout verse is Ezekiel 3:10-11:

Then he added, “Son of man, let all my words sink deep in your own heart first. Listen to them carefully for yourself. Then go to your people in exile and say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says!’ Do this whether they listen to you or not.”

On this Wednesday morning, I want you to stay encouraged and stay Mission-Minded!
