In Awe of God
Awe.
That’s the word I kept hearing and even seeing as I prayed this morning. I honestly kept thinking… is that all Lord? One word?
See I’m so used to getting soooo many words, that when I only heard “AWE” I thought I needed to listen longer.
Holy Spirit led me to look up the word AWE on my Blue Letter Bible app. The word AWE occurs in 47 verses of the CSB translation.
So I proceeded to check out all the verses. There were six verses that stood out. But Jeremiah 33:9 and Acts 10:4 really really resonated!
“This city will bear on my behalf a name of joy, praise, and glory before all the nations of the earth, who will hear of all the prosperity I will give them. They will tremble with awe because of all the good and all the peace I will bring about for them.”— Jeremiah 33:9 CSB
“Staring at him in awe, he said, “What is it, Lord?” The angel told him, “Your prayers and your acts of charity have ascended as a memorial offering before God.” — Acts 10:4 CSB
“Cornelius was afraid. He stared at the angel. “What is it, Lord?” he asked. The angel answered, “Your prayers and gifts to poor people are like an offering to God. So he has remembered you.” — Acts 10:4 NIRV
See the Jeremiah scripture was about Israel’s restoration. And the Acts scripture was about the Lord remembering the prayers and gifts to the poor by a man named Cornelius.
Holy Spirit said to me: The more you seek Me, the more in AWE of Me you will be. You ain’t seen nothing yet!
I went to look up the definition of the word AWE. The noun of the word means a feeling of reverential respect mixed with fear or wonder. Synonyms are: Love, worship, amazement, astonishment. The verb means inspire with awe. It’s synonyms include: amazed, awe-struck, and OPEN-MOUTHED!!!😯😯😮
I also heard the term: shock and awe. I wrote it down too. When I looked it up on Google, it said technically it means rapid dominance over the enemy!!!! Here’s exactly what it said: Shock and awe (technically known as rapid dominance) is a tactic based on the use of overwhelming power and spectacular displays of force to paralyze the enemy's perception of the battlefield and destroy their will to fight.
Woooooow!! My mouth is already open 😯😯😯
Today as I pray and fast (corporately with the 1 Hour Prayer Challenge LIVE group), I stand in awe of what our Lord and Savior IS already doing and what HE IS GONNA do today!
Let us be remembered by God like Cornelius today as we fast and pray!
May our mouths stay open in awe of our amazing God today!

SALVATION PRAYER
If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
ASSIGNMENTS
What did Holy Spirit say to you in your conversation with Him this morning? (Be sure to write it all down).
Write down everything that had your mouth opened in AWE today! (Hint: Don’t wait until tonight either. Write it as it happens! Real-time awe reporting!) LOL!
Record yourself reading the Word of God on video or audio and watch how God will use your own voice to give you revelation and build your faith (keeping this assignment on here for a while).
