WHAT DID GOD SAY TO ME THIS MORNING

I See You!

I first want to start today’s blog off by giving the Lord praise for WHO HE IS! He is my everything! When I think back over my life, I know He has been with me every step of the way, even when I didn’t give Him all the praise. He was STILL with me. So I want to give Him praise FIRST!

Yesterday I was reading the Word and playing a bit of catch up on my Bible verse reading from the 21 Day Fasting & Prayer Journal from Transformation Church. I noticed that I have been distracted a little bit even as I have been faithful to this assignment of sharing our conversations. One thing I want to make sure that I do is not just stay dedicated to the assignment God has given me, but remember WHY I am doing it and to seek Him first in everything.

Sometimes we can get so caught up in the routine of every day (even praying every day) that we forget WHY we are doing it. When we seek Him first, the why will always be in view. Let today’s blog be a reminder to us all, that we are here to do God’s will on earth as it is in heaven. We are to seek Him first in all we do. And the irony is that I wrote a whole book about getting his permission in love, work, and life. Like I literally had to remind myself that He used me to write a book on the very thing that I needed to be reminded of…SEEK HIM FIRST! Get His Permission!

This morning I was so doggone sleepy y’all. And what’s crazy is that I have been waking up later. It’s like my negotiating skills are trying to flex and grow because last time I checked, getting up in the 5 a.m. hour is one of my non-negotiables. But guess what, the enemy is slick and we have to be sooo careful of the subtle ways that he will try to get you off course. Yes I still wake up and pray every day and write this blog based on my conversation with God, but why do I feel like I am struggling to get up lately? I have been doing this routine for almost a year come February and it feels a lot like I am regressing. But the Lord heard my cry in the prayer closet this morning and let me tell you what HE SAID:

  • I SEE YOU!

  • I see the progress you’re making.

  • Don’t settle for mediocre.

  • Don’t negotiate.

  • Don’t slack up. Keep pushing and progressing.

  • You’re about to break ground. Keep pounding.

  • You’re not REGRESSING. You’re recalibrating and it may feel like you’re slowing down, but you’re getting closer to the finish line than the start line. Don’t be fooled by your feelings!!

  • The finish line IS the start line and while they are the same, you’re not the same! (INSERT ME RUNNING LAPS & SHOUTING RIGHT NOW!!!).

  • The line may look the same, but you have ran the laps for this assignment, and it’s time to finish stronger and move on to the next with momentum!

  • You’re doing good. Just keep pushing. Keep progressing. Keep your eyes on Me.

  • Slow motion is still forward motion. Keep your eyes on Me.

  • Create a new schedule and stick to it.

  • Keep moving at My Pace!

  • You’re on the brink of a breakthrough.

  • Don’t get caught up in anything that I didn’t assign you.

  • FOCUS on your assignments.

  • LASER FOCUSED.

  • Get up and Go ( Acts 22:10)

  • Get up and go to the prayer closet and there you will be told everything that you have been assigned to do. (Acts 22:10).

  • Focus on the business and don’t be distracted by anything else that you have deemed important. It’s not important right now. It’s not time to focus on other stuff. Focus on the building the business. Funding is waiting on you. People are waiting on your service.

  • Don’t try to manipulate My timing on anything. When it’s time, you will know.

Whew! If that wasn’t a FULL POURING of encouragement from My Conversation With God this morning as I felt lethargic and sleepy, then I don’t know what was!! I haven’t mentioned it much this year (we are only 10 days in), but I am still loving on my Dr. Tony Evans Study Bible. As you know His wife recently passed away and now every time I open the Bible and read His study notes, I think about him and his family. Everything that I have seen on social media though shows a family of faith and strength. They have really inspired me!

One of the pages I opened to today in my Bible was Ecclesiastes 12. I read the whole chapter and his study notes and got so much. But it was his Hope Words that really stood out for me.

Start where you are. Do what you can. Then watch God open up the doors. ~ Hope Words from the Tony Evans Study Bible

Not only did that give me hope as I pursue my new business endeavors, but it was also evidence of God further encouraging me through His Word, the Holy Bible.

The verses that stood out in Ecclesiastes 12, were 13 and 14. But once again, it was how Dr. Evans broke it down in his study notes that really resonated with me even more. His study notes are designed to help you understand and apply a given passage. And that’s exactly what they do! I am going to show you exactly what I mean (and this may make you run out and buy this Bible today). LOL!

BIBLE VERSES FROM ECCLESIASTES 12: 13-14:

When all has been heard, the conclusion of the matter is this: fear God and keep his commands, because this is for all humanity. For God will bring every act to judgment, including every hidden thing, whether good or evil. Ecclesiastes 12: 13-14 CSB

DR. EVANS STUDY NOTES ON ECCLESIASTES 12: 13-14:

The actions of humanity— good and evil— are all on tape. And while you can’t erase what’s on your tape, you can create new and better footage. As long as you draw breath, the recorder is still running. Seek God’s divine perspective for your day-to-day decisions and make your life count toward the fulfillment of his kingdom agenda.

So now you see why I rant and rave about the Tony Evans Study Bible! It literally brings the Bible to life where I can relate, understand, and even more-so, apply it to my life. And no, I am not a Tony Evans Study Bible Salesperson, but I sure would be if there was such a job (LOL)!! But y’all get my point. For so long the enemy has wanted to make us be super sleepy and super confused while reading the life manual that God gave us through The Holy Bible. But what we have to remember is that God gave all of us assignments for his kingdom and one of Dr. Evans’ assignments was this version of the Bible. And look at how it has changed my life and your life!! When we all do what God calls us to do, it is for a bigger purpose, His Kingdom Agenda. This blog is for His purpose. Sharing my conversation with God has impacted you in ways I will probably never know. Writing a book has impacted readers like I will never know. But the key thing to remember is that….what we do for Jesus Christ will last. We are the hands and feet of Jesus on earth, so in order for His Kingdom agenda to move forward, we must be willing vessels to do His work.

And I got the Bible from Lifeway.com (LOL). I felt in my spirit that someone was wondering where to get the Bible. You can also order it directly from Dr. Tony Evans website too.

I pray that you have been blessed by today’s blog post and that you will take action on what you have read. Check out the questions below. Write down your answers in your journal.
