Keep Showing Up!

WHAT DID GOD SAY TO ME THIS MORNING

I wasn’t feeling it this morning at all. I got up any way. At this point in my prayer life, I know that it’s non-negotiable, but I have to be totally honest with you and let you know that I woke up with this feeling like I just wanted to crawl back under the covers and ball myself up. I didn’t feel like be an encourager today. I was the one who needed the encouraging. And that’s why I went into my prayer closet anyway.

Here’s my conversation with God this morning:

Be honest with me.
Don’t put on no show with me.
I made you so I know when you are acting or trying not to cry or trying to be strong.
Just come in this prayer closet and surrender. I will do the rest. (Holy Spirit I need you to comfort me because I just don’t feel like it today).
I love you for just being you.
Remember that my power is made perfect in your weakness.
I want you to write more today. I will use all of this that you’re feeling for My Glory. None of it will be wasted. No tear you are shedding will be in vain.

This morning as I was encouraged by the Holy Spirit during my prayer time, I pray that my obedience in showing up somehow encourages you. Let’s agree that no matter how we feel, we will keep showing up in the prayer closet every day.
