Let God Be God In Your Life!
As I prayed this morning, I felt myself letting go. Even after prayer becoming a non-negotiable lifestyle, I still have to intentionally surrender when I bow down in prayer.
After praying for a while on my knees and bowed down low, I turned on my right side. I had my blanket over me and I heard the Holy Spirit say: Let Me comfort you. Let Me be who I AM.
As I laid there for a moment and then grabbed my journal from my make-shift stool-desk that’s in my closet, I wrote down what I heard Him say. What I wrote down was: Let Holy Spirit be Who He is in your life. Let God be God.
Holy Spirit then asked me: Who Am I to you?
I didn’t immediately reply, but I thought about WHO HE IS.
He said: I am everything you want and I am everything you need.
I again thought about Holy Spirit being comforter. He has been comforter to me a lot. And Intercessor too!!! Every time I pray in the spirit He is interceding. I started thinking about WHO He has been the most in this season of my life based on WHO HE IS.
But the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember everything that I have told you. — John 14:26 AMP
It’s the amplified translation that breaks down WHO Holy Spirit is. He is:
Helper
Comforter
Advocate
Intercessor
Counselor
Strengthener
Standby
Holy Spirit lives on the inside of us. We receive Him as a gift once we accept Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior. But the key word here is RECEIVE. We receive the gift of salvation by faith and we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit by faith as well. Have you received Him?
Once you receive Holy Spirit, let Him be Who He is in your life. That’s what I heard Him say this morning: Let Me be Who I am in your life.
When I was researching scripture, I landed on a greatly written article about Holy Spirit that I want to share here. And while I have read and studied about who Holy Spirit is, and I talk to Him daily, it still is good to remind myself of WHO I HAVE WITH ME AT ALL TIMES.
P.S. I just love my Conversations With God! Don’t you?

SALVATION PRAYER
If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
