WHAT DID GOD SAY TO ME THIS MORNING

Yesterday I worked out for the first time at my new gym. It’s called HotWorx and it’s a sauna gym. My first thought while in there doing a hot cycle class was…Lord I thank you that my life is right because hell is hotter than this!! Y’all that sauna workout was HOT! But after two 15 minute hot cycle workouts, and the after burn that you get simply from doing a sauna workout, I had burned a little over 500 calories!!! My body was still shedding calories after I left out of the sauna class, which was amazing to me! But the way my body felt this morning is a reflection of it being my FIRST workout in months! But I planted the seed!

While praying this morning, I noticed that the headache I had when I went to bed last night was still there. I am sure it was from all the toxins I stirred up during the workout. I started praying for the headache to be gone. I touched my head where it was hurting and prayed. How many of you know that we have the power to heal? So before you go and run to your medicine cabinet, ask God for healing. We can trust Him with big illnesses and small illnesses alike. He can heal it ALL! And yes, I got healed from my headache right in my prayer closet!

This morning as I was listening to hear from God, I kept thinking about things I need to do this week and I heard the Holy Spirit say make a list! And that prompting made me think about this Christmas season where so many people are making lists and checking them twice. But what about making a list of your God assignments? What about making a lists of the desires of your heart that you want God to fulfill this season?

Here’s what the Holy Spirit said to me this morning:

Make a list and check it three times.
Write down a list of everything you think you should be doing. Then ask me about each one. I will tell you IF you should do it; I will tell you HOW you should do it; And I will tell you WHEN you should do it.
Make a list of all your needs and check it three times. Get it out of your head.
Make a list of all your desires. Get it out of your head.

When we make our lists, we can stand on God’s word. In Philippians 4:6 it says:

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Philippians 4:6

When you make your requests and tell God what you need from your lists, also give Him thanks for what He has already done in your life. Matter of fact, make a list of answered prayer requests! That’s surely going to encourage you! Dr. Tony Evans says offering thanks is a demonstration of faith in God’s goodness and provision despite what you see.

As we prepare to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, let’s make our lists and check them thrice….one for the Father, two for the Son, and three for the Holy Spirit!
