Simple Instructions...Simple Obedience
WHAT DID MY LORD GOD SAY TO ME THIS MORNING?
My Daily Conversations With God
I woke up and prayed on time this morning. And guess what? I can tell that my simple obedience to God’s simple instructions of seeking Him first, made the difference. There was no room for the enemy to mess with me about time!! Humph! Interesting isn’t it? We can thwart the enemy and put him on the run with simple obedience!
This morning, I flipped to Isaiah, second chapter, for the Scriptural Surprise and the standout scripture was verse 22 which basically says don’t put trust in mere humans. And that is so true. We must put our trust in God and not people. God will use people, but some people have refused to be used by God. And while they may have platforms, influence or seem notable, they are still humans. With all that is going on today, let us be reminded to get our instructions from the Lord. My philosophy is: If you ain’t obeying God, then I ain’t obeying you!
My conversation with God this morning was amazing. He said a lot of what I needed to hear and even what I wanted to hear:
Keep faithfully doing what I have instructed you to do.
Obedience is the best place to be found in.
I have not forgotten about you.
I see you every morning.
We talk every morning, so there is no way I would forget about you.
I made you.
I adore you.
I cherish you.
You are mine.
Remember the season you are in. It’s a sweat-less season.
No toiling. No pressure. Just obedience.
Who I AM makes My instructions weighty (they carry weight), but what I have given you to do, is never meant to weigh you down so much that you can’t accomplish it.
Remember, I am here and we are always talking. It’s me and you. These are OUR CONVERSATIONS.
Draw nearer to Me.
My instructions are always simple enough for you to do. I know what you can do. I made you to do it.
I am a restorer. When you turn your heart fully to me, I will restore you.
Pay attention to My instructions and My Word.
Ignoring My Word has consequences.
Today, let’s follow the simple instructions from the Lord, and be found simply obeying Him.
