That Was Never Me!
Since I have been not rushing to get up and blog and podcast and just allowing myself permission to abide with our Father God, He has been blowing my mind. I have such a peaceful countenance that has washed over me. It’s like I have gone higher with the Lord and deeper at the same time. And I know…only God can do something like that!
This morning I just want to share with you what I discerned Holy Spirit whispering in my ear. I simply wrote it all down:
I love the way you honor Me with your time (me: crying 😭)
Time well spent.
Keep pressing in more.
This is the life you’ve hoped for. Keep it here.
Scales are being removed from eyes.
Traditions torn down.
It was never Me.
Early Delivery.
You may not have gotten what you wanted, but I am giving you something better…what I wanted.
I asked Holy Spirit about scripture and Acts 9:18 came up:
And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized. — Acts 9:18 KJV
Often times the Lord will speak more throughout the day or just give me key phrases like He did today and I can expect Him to show me what He means.
One thing that popped in my mind when He said traditions torn down is Halloween. And just now when I was typing “Hall,” my keyboard suggested Hallelujah!! Isn’t that something. Hallelujah is the highest praise! It’s us celebrating our Lord and Savior!
The enemy is always trying to take what’s meant for God and make it for himself. Halloween is a celebration of witches/witchcraft. It’s a traditional holiday that even churches call Hallelujah night, but no matter what you call it, if you celebrate it you participate in it! Period.
So the Lord was saying to me that He is removing scales from my eyes (like He did Saul before He changed His name to Paul). Holy Spirit said traditions are being torn down. The Lord has exposed so many things that are not Him to me in the last year. And He said it this morning: IT WAS NEVER ME!
From celebrating Halloween to being a part of Greek/Masonic ties, to Hindi practices of Yoga, and even horoscopes! There are so many ways that the enemy has perverted our minds under the guise of “what we grew up with or what we have always done.” Oh and let’s not forget PRIDE for our skin color, our schools, our teams, our gender, etc. I mean just look at all of it through Holy lenses and ask Holy Spirit to show you! Scales are being removed from eyes (if you really want to see).
That last part that Holy Spirit said though: “You may not have gotten what you wanted, but I am giving you something better…what I wanted,” really resonates with me. I honestly don’t want anything that I thought I wanted when I was living a sinful lifestyle. I thank God for blocking stuff that I didn’t even know I didn’t really want until now.
I want what the Lord wants for me because that’s me living out the life He designed for me. That’s the blessed life and the best life!

SALVATION PRAYER

Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!

Record yourself reading the Word of God on video or audio and watch how God will use your own voice to give you revelation and build your faith (keeping this assignment on here for a while).
