Thinking & Thanking

WHAT DID GOD SAY TO ME THIS MORNING

When you wait on God and do life His way, He will always exceed your expectations! That’s my mood this glorious Saturday morning!

I pray that you have prayed this morning and heard from the Lord yourself. As I was praying this morning, I kept thinking and then thanking. I would think about all that Jesus has done for me, and then I would immediately go into thanking Him. When you think, you can’t help but to thank. When you think about the fact that you are here, thank you Jesus. When you think about where you are in your prayer life, thank you Jesus. When you think about how far you have come, thank you Jesus. When you think about how Jesus has kept you safe, thank you Jesus. When I think about my kids, thank you Jesus. When I think about my family, thank you Jesus. When I think, I thank the Lord for ALL He has done.

This morning, I flipped to to the book of Psalms. I read chapters 1-12 and the verses that stood out were already highlighted from a previous study. But they were exactly what I needed this morning. The blog pictures reflect the verses, Pslam 5:3,8.

Verse 3 in my bible reads like this: Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord. Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly. That’s exactly what I do when I wake up early at 5 a.m. to pray, but I don’t just bring my requests, I pray in the Spirit and requests that I am not even aware of are also brought to the Lord. When I think about the fact that I don’t have to think when I pray, I thank the Lord. There is so much for us to pray for and pray about, and praying in the Spirit covers it ALL! Thank you Holy Spirit!

Here’s what I heard and journaled this morning:

Keep trusting Me.
Keep your eyes on Me.
You deserve everything good and perfect that I have for you.
Everything I have for you is yours!
When you want to hear from Me, open up My Word. Meditate on it. Write down what I say.

God answers prayer. He hears you and answers you. I know this because He hears me and answers me. When I think about all the prayers He has answered, I know He hears me.

But before I pray or ask Him for anything, I THANK HIM, PRAISE HIM, AND MAGNIFY HIS HOLY NAME because He is so worthy of ALL my praise without a prayer answered. He died for me. Thank you Jesus. He rose for me. Thank you Jesus. He loves me. Thank Jesus. And He loves us so much that He hears us, answers us, and is concerned with everything about us. Think about it, then Thank Him!

I pray you enjoy this Saturday and the Lord exceeds your expectations! Keep trusting the Lord while you wait on Him to answer you. He will come through for you!

SALVATION PRAYER

If you’re not a believer and have a desire to be, openly confess and declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer out loud, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community and start having a conversation through prayer with God every day.
