WHAT DID GOD SAY TO ME THIS MORNING

It’s Monday morning! Are you sitting there reading this dreading your workday? If so, I have come to encourage you to do one thing today…PRAY & READ! The word of God is so powerful and so revealing. Ask God what kind of work you are supposed to be doing according to His plan for your life, then pull out your Bible or open your Bible app and ask Him to guide you to a scripture for revelation. This morning I prayed and then I asked the Holy Spirit to speak to me. I heard the following: “Where is your Bible"?” I had gone into the prayer closet without it. If you read a few blogs back, the Holy Spirit told me to bring my Bible into the prayer closet. When I asked the Holy Spirit to guide me to what scripture He wanted me to see, I read the following scriptures and heard the following words from God:

  • Isaiah 2:22: ‘Stop putting your trust in mere humans. They are as frail as breath. How can they be of help to anyone?’

  • Everything I tell you to do has purpose.

  • Lamentations 3:37: ‘Who can command things to happen without the Lord’s permission?

  • 2 Corinthians 12:8-9: Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. Each time he said ‘My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.’ So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.

  • 2 Timothy 3:16-17: “All scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.”

  • Stay close to me and continually read My Word for instructions.

The bottom line for this morning…READ YOUR BIBLE! If you look at My Conversation With God this morning, it can be summed up this way: Don’t be listening to no everybody. Listen to God because when he tells you something, it has purpose. Don’t forget that you can’t do nothing on your own. Ask God for His permission in everything you do. When you are weak, that’s when God strengthens you the most. And then finally, Ask God because He knows the answers to every question you have and He will give you specific instructions.

Be encouraged this morning to read your Bible and trust God with your whole life. I did JUST that and the changes that happened suddenly in my life have set me on the course that God intended when He created me. I love it! I am living my life on purpose…for real for real!
