Walking With God Through Open Doors
Can I share what the Holy Spirit said to me this morning?
HE said: I’m opening doors for you. As you walk through them in faith, there will be more doors. Bigger doors. Bigger rooms. Remember that I am with you as you cross the threshold of each door. As things get bigger, remember that I AM BIGGER than the things.
This is what you must write to the angel of the church in Philadelphia: I am the one who is holy and true, and I have the keys that belonged to David. When I open a door, no one can close it. And when I close a door, no one can open it. Listen to what I say. — Revelation 3:7 CEV
I read a feature story in my Bible entitled: You don’t walk this road alone. There is one line in the story that really stood out, so much so that I had to write it down in my journal. It said: God’s presence and proximity are my protection.
It was the word proximity. I tend to clasp my hands a lot, especially when I am laying down. To me, it literally feels like the Lord is holding my hand! I feel His presence but on some nights where I’m struggling with being alone, I recognize His proximity. His presence is absolutely amazing but I also love that His proximity protects me from feeling by myself.
I read Psalms 66-69 today during prayer and it was these verses that reassured me that God hears my prayers.
“Yet if I had closed my eyes to my sin, the Lord God would have closed his ears to my prayer. But praises rise to God, for he paid attention to my prayer and answered my cry to him! I will forever praise this God who didn’t close his heart when I prayed and never said no when I asked him for help. He never once refused to show me his tender love.” — Psalms 66:18-20 TPT
I thank God that I am not who I used to be. I thank God for sending Jesus who set me free.
I thank God that He hears me because my thoughts are no longer sinful! Hallelujah!!!
I thank God for His tender love, His presence and His proximity. God sets the ultimate standard for relationships. I am thankful that He is redefining relationships for me.
SALVATION PRAYER
If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
ASSIGNMENTS
What did Holy Spirit say to you in your conversation with Him this morning?
Does God hear your prayers? If your thoughts are sinful or if you’re ignoring your sin, He doesn’t (per Psalm 66:18). Be encouraged to repent in the name of Jesus and then you can be assured that He hears your prayers and will answer you.
Record yourself reading the Word of God on video or audio and watch how God will use your own voice to give you revelation and build your faith (keeping this assignment on here for a while).
