WHAT DID GOD SAY TO ME THIS MORNING
This morning the Holy Spirit met me right where I was. I didn’t want to get up this morning. Real talk. I felt (and still feel) so sleepy. Yesterday was such a long day, but with God, I made it. There were some things that popped up unexpectedly that could have thrown me off, but I kept God first in it and all turned out well. Last night I was so tired that I don’t even remember falling asleep.
When I got up feeling extra tired this morning, I went to the prayer closet and prayed anyway. One thing I do know is that the Lord will give you just what you need, when you need it most. I needed enough energy to pray and He gave me that. As a matter of fact, He encouraged me! The Holy Spirit said:
Keep pushing!
Everything you are doing matters.
Go to bed even earlier.
You’re a great Mom. I know it gets hard sometime, but you are doing great. Keep putting me first in your life, and no matter what is thrown your way, I am protecting you.
I needed every bit of that encouragement from the Holy Spirit this morning. He is our Comforter, not the one on my bed that I just wanted to crawl back into. To be honest, I still feel sleepy, but God is faithful. So guess where the scriptural surprise led me this morning? PROVERBS! Oh you already know what’s up if you have ever read Proverbs.
There were several verses that stood out and gave me so much wisdom, but verse 21 really stood out. Why? Because it says: “too much sleep clothes a person with rags.” Of course I really was like…welpt, I can’t crawl back in the bed now, can I? LOL! But what is already amazing (because Holy Spirit is amazing) is that almost everything that I was praying for this morning in my known tongues was addressed in Proverbs!
I prayed for my children (Proverbs 22:6; 23:13).
I prayed for my business and my work (Proverbs 22:1, 29; 23:4-5).
I prayed to be more generous (Proverbs 22:9).
I prayed for my parents (Proverbs 23:24-25).
I prayed for the desires of my heart (Proverbs 23:17).
I prayed for wisdom and discernment (Proverbs 23:17).
All of these verses were areas that I had prayed for prior to opening my bible! So it was confirmation that the Holy Spirit heard me and that I could stand on His word knowing that He would answer me.
I want to encourage you this morning. God is everything. He never leaves us or abandons us. He answers our prayers. He corrects us. He has plans for us. He loves us so much! No matter how you “feel” this morning, our Father loves us through it ALL and provides us with whatever we need…and even what we want too. Keep God first in your life.
Hearts and Hugs!
