New Living Translation
WHAT DID GOD SAY TO ME THIS MORNING
Ever had your mind blown? I mean really blown to a point where you begin to question it validity? You’re like how is this even possible? How can it go from zero to 100 real quick? How can it be one day that I’m believing for it and then another day I’m actually living it? God told me at the beginning of this month, He would fulfill every promise and that a birthing will take place THIS MONTH! Today is November 16th and I still believe what He said!
Today the Holy Spirit and I had a conversation about faith walking. He said to me:
Walk in faith, even though you don’t know all the details.
Walk in faith and listen to my voice.
Walk in faith.
You don’t need a sign, just walk in faith!
Don’t see things from your human point of view. See everything from My (Your Lord and Savior’s) point of view.
What is humanly impossible is possible with Me, your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
As I was reading the Scriptural Surprise in Matthew 13-18, there was so much that stood out to me as Jesus speaks a whole lot in the book of Matthew. I mean it is full of red (which lets the reader know it’s Jesus talking). Jesus used a ton of illustrations to teach and I want to encourage you (as I encourage myself) to study the Word of God. It literally comes alive when you sit with it in the presence of the Holy Spirit. He will cause you to see things you never saw before in verses you have read or heard many times. These verses really show WHO Jesus is and how we should be like him!
Faith kept coming up as I was reading. When things look impossible, have faith. In Matthew 19:26 it says:
Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God, everything is possible.” Matthew 19:26 New Living Translation
What if you just meditated on that verse alone every day? What if you stood on that verse when adversities came up in your life? What if you reminded the Lord of this verse as you stood in front of a mountainous situation? You would be showing how much of a faith walker you are. You believe and have faith that with God, every thing is possible. A new life of living right is possible. New love is possible. New career is possible. New business is possible. New levels of generosity is possible. New buildings are possible. New homes are possible. World Change is possible. New Family Memories are possible. Healing is possible. Full restoration for the paralyzed is possible. Cancer being eradicated is possible. The verse said EVERY THING! Think about that. EVERY THING. When you start thinking that it’s not possible, that’s not God. That’s the enemy. Because the Word of God says it plain…BUT WITH GOD, EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE! Do you believe that?
One other thing that stood out this morning was the parable about the farmer scattering seeds. Go and read it, but the question that I wrote in my journal is…what kind of soil are you?
Hard soil - You hear the Good News of Jesus, but you don’t understand it and the enemy comes and snatches what you heard away from your heart. Is that you?
Rocky soil- You hear the Good News of Jesus and you receive it, but it’s not deeply rooted so it wilts as soon as you have problems. Is that you?
Thorny soil - You hear and accept the Good News of Jesus, but right after you hear the Good News, the message is crowded out by the cares and worries of this life, the lure of wealth, so nothing is produced from what you heard. Is that you?
Good soil - You truly accept the Good News of Jesus and produce a huge harvest. You produce thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted!
As I read this, I saw myself in different times of my life where I was each type of soil because I have always heard the Good News of Jesus, but what I did with what I heard determined the type of soil life I was living. But thanks be to God, I am GOOD SOIL today! Do you want to be good soil today? You can. Accept Jesus, produce what He tells you, and have faith. Then you will reap a harvest way bigger than you ever could imagined because with God, EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE!
