Keep Calling
Have you ever felt like you called someone too much? You overthink the situation and be like, let me just see if I can figure it out myself. I don’t want to bother them with this. Maybe you’ve asked them the same questions over and over again. You have those moment where you don’t want to be looking all needy. You want to feel like you got it together.
Am I alone in this or do you ever feel that way?
I was still feeling sleepy this morning. I was obedient and went to bed super early. So in my mind, I was going to wake up all energetic and ready. I kinda felt like I didn’t want to talk to the Lord about it because I had done what He said. I went to bed early. I almost felt like I needed to force myself to not feel sleepy. But the Holy Spirit chimed right on in and interrupted my self-talk.
This morning the Holy Spirit said: KEEP CALLING ☎️ and I will keep answering. You can never call me too much. There is a lot you don’t know, so keep calling. Keep praying. Keep worshiping. Keep asking.
“Call out to me. I will answer you. I will tell you great things you do not know. And unless I do, you wouldn’t be able to find out about them.”— Jeremiah 33:3 NIRV
The Lord said, “I don’t want you to think you have arrived. I want you to stay dependent on me. Daily dependence. You can never call me too much. I’ll never get tired of you asking me questions, even the same ones.”
I learned this morning that with God, I don’t have to overthink coming to Him about the same issue. In society, we let pride keep us from asking again. We let pride make us feel like we can be so independent. That was pride trying to seep in this morning when I was thinking that I would feel energetic because I obeyed and went to bed early.
The message and encouragement is to KEEP OBEYING. Just because you obeyed one time doesn’t mean that you have arrived! Clearly! I’m still tired. Not as much as I was yesterday but this tiredness that I still feel will make me depend on God for my strength today. That’s exactly where He wants me. So yes, be obedient to what He says do, but don’t get prideful and think, one and done. Sometimes the Lord will allow the weakness so you can always CALL ON HIM for the strength!
The Lord said, “Keep Calling...I will always be there to pick up! I will always be there to pick YOU up!”
Hallelujah!!
7 God has shown me amazing and wonderful things. People should not think more of me because of it. So I wouldn’t become proud of myself, I was given a problem. This problem caused pain in my body. It is a messenger from Satan to make me suffer. 8 Three times I begged the Lord to take it away from me. 9 But he said to me, “My grace is all you need. My power is strongest when you are weak.” So I am very happy to brag about how weak I am. Then Christ’s power can rest on me. 10 Because of how I suffered for Christ, I’m glad that I am weak. I am glad in hard times. I am glad when people say mean things about me. I am glad when things are difficult. And I am glad when people make me suffer. When I am weak, I am strong. — 2 Corinthians 12:7-10
I am glad that I woke up still a bit sleepy this morning. His grace is sufficient and His power is strongest when I am my weakest. His power is strongest when I am my sleepiest!
To God be the glory!
SALVATION PRAYER
If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
