Minus or Plus…Either Way I Trust!

WHAT DID GOD SAY TO ME THIS MORNING
Not every morning will feel the same, but that’s okay. Trust God anyway. This morning I heard the Holy Spirit say don’t fall back into old patterns. I asked: How will I know if I am falling? He replied: If it’s old, it’s not new. I am doing New Things. If it feels old, that’s not new. What I am doing won’t be how it’s always been. It will BE NEW and FEEL NEW. This caused me to Google the definition of the word New. Definition #2 is the one that really stood out because while I was just existing in my life before, and doing just enough, my life changed when I got into a real close relationship with Jesus Christ through daily prayer. Also, I am now seen by others in a new way. I see myself in a new way. And I am experiencing things IN JESUS CHRIST in a new way, for the first time! Thank You Holy Spirit for the revelation. As depicted in the screenshot below, NEW can also mean not existing before as well, but I felt the connection to the second definition since I was already existing :-)
The Holy Spirit also said sometimes I will add and sometimes I will subtract, but I want you to trust me either way. The scripture reference for today is all about trusting God with ALL your heart. Not just pieces of your heart or portions, but ALL your heart. When you trust God, you know that His math ain’t fuzzy. In order for His Will to be accomplished in YOUR life, He has to add some things and take some things away, but in the end, He is the right answer and the right solution for it all!
As I was praying, I felt my focus get off and my thoughts began to wonder. I asked the Holy Spirit for focus. He said, always be writing and don’t slack up. Then He gave me an assignment: Outline your next book by Sunday! Yep, the Holy Spirit is really wanting me to SEE that the new thing He is doing with me is assigning me with writing tasks that are preparing me fully for my gift to flourish. This blog is a writing assignment. The new book I wrote in 3 days was a writing assignment. EVERY-SINGLE-THING-NEW has writing written all over it (LOL).
As I sat there in the prayer closet, I asked the Holy Spirit what the next book should be about and I heard these things:
Relinquish
How to let go when you’re a control freak (insert bucked eyes here)
Lose Control
How to let go
What/Who are you controlling that you need to lose control over?
I am excited to see how God uses me in this book, especially since I am SUCH a control freak. But I know that God is doing a NEW THING, and my old patterns of trying to control the outcome, is being gently written out of my life! WOW! See when He writes stuff like that THROUGH ME yall, it’s like the Holy Spirit literally just TAKES CONTROL of my fingers! When I go back and proofread this blog, it’s like a new revelation. It’s like reading it for the first time, but I wrote it (well, He actually USED ME to write it FOR HIM)! Deep stuff!
When you surrender to God’s plan and purpose for your life, and acknowledge Him, he will do as Proverbs 3:6 says…direct your paths. For me, He directs my pen!
