Ridicule-ously Blessed
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. — Philippians 4:6-7

For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! — Ephesians 5:8
In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. — Matthew 5:16 NIV
Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.” — John 8:12 NLT
This morning Holy Spirit said this: Whenever an opportunity presents itself to witness, represent me well. I will guide you what to say.
Last night a friend shared a song with me from YouTube and when I looked at the comments I saw so much despair and depression. As I prayed for those people this morning, I felt led to leave a comment but I wasn’t sure what to say. I asked Holy Spirit to help me.
Then Holy Spirit said to me: When people share darkness on social media, you share My light. You may get ridiculed but you already know from reading My Word that many of My followers were ridiculed for spreading the gospel, even Me! So remember your purpose here on earth. Remember the mission.
As I thought about 1 Peter 4:14 (because I found this verse when I went searched for people who were ridiculed for sharing Jesus), the thought came to me: Ridicule-lously Blessed. When we are ridiculed for sharing about Jesus, we are blessed. So we are ridicule-lously blessed when we share the name of Jesus and how He came to save us!
Holy Spirit said: Remember to share what you learn tho those who don’t know Me, and to those who DO know Me but haven’t applied what they have learned to their lives yet. Be a light in the darkness.
Scriptures for us to stand on here included Ephesians 5:8 and Matthew 5:16.
Holy Spirit said: Wherever darkness is, when you show up, there is light…MY LIGHT SHINES THROUGH YOU!
Jesus is the light of the world and when we represent Him by being is hands and feet, we too are the light.
Remember the song, This Little Light of Mine? Why did we call our light little? I don’t know but I will let my light shine shine shine!

SALVATION PRAYER
If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
